2013 Toast to the Coast

In what has become an annual tradition in recent years thousands flock to some of our region’s best Wineries over the Melbourne Cup weekend to celebrate Toast to the Coast.

Returning this year over the Melbourne Cup weekend of November 2nd and 3rd the twelfth annual Toast To The Coast promises to be the biggest and best yet celebrating one of Australia’s truly iconic wine regions with its exceptional climate perfect for wine growing.

There will around twenty of our best wineries open including wineries on the Bellarine Peninsula, Surfcoast and the Moorabool  Valley to the west of the city.

Many wineries will feature not only their finest wines but wines from smaller wineries around their district. There will be wine sales and several will feature food and entertainment.

For people wanting to enjoy the event without having to take their vehicle there will be special bus services available from several locations around Geelong that link with feeder buses in each of the three greater Geelong wine districts.

This event is a great for serious wine lovers and also a fantastic event for those who are not to sure about wine and want to experiment and taste the different styles and flavours our region has to offer. It is also a great chance to see some of the wineries, their facilities and properties.

Another great wine event for people who enjoy a drop is the Great Geelong Wine Pour, look out for it in your favourite Geelong region restaurant during September and October leading up to the 2013 Toast to the Coast.
