The fun starts about 2PM and continues through until dark with plenty of things to see and do. There will be a fantastic market set up along the Elephant Walk selling some tasty treats and some wonderful and unique gift ideas for Christmas.

Childerern will love the fun in store for them with the Bunnings Team on hand making creative items with the kids. There will be stories with Ceridwyn and Veronica will show the young how to make a woolly creature or two.  Kids can also learn how to tie fancy knots or even build their own sea creature in a fun craft workshop.

The festival will feature a big tent where circus troupes will amaze and there’s also a open mic stage for those who fancy themselves as a bit of a performer.

The Beach Stage is the place for great local entertainment, throughout the day there will be plenty of wonderful acts performing including Wild Moves at 2PM, Levi Anderson at 3PM, Jesse Jackson at 3:30Pm, Willow Star at 4PM, Imogen Brough and Justin Sane at 6PM.  As dusk approaches the music and entertainment continues with the Rubber Band hitting the stage at 7PM followed by ME Baird and the Higher Order and then a sea shanty or two from Ukes du Jour.  To finish off the evening there will be a performance of “What a Wreck” tracing the story of Joseph Scammell who got into difficulties on the rocks of Point Danger back in 1891.

The evening concludes with some amazing fire performers and fireworks reflecting over vast ocean about 9:20PM.

While in Torquay why not stop off and see the 20th anniversary exhibition at the Surfworld Museum or drop into the Torquay Historical Society and learn a little about the history and times of Torquay and the surfcoast.  You will find the society at 18 Price Street and they are open from 12PM to 4PM Saturday and Sunday.
