2014 Blokes Day Out in Geelong
Geelong’s 2014 premier event celebrating ‘everything male’ takes place during the week of the 24th to 30th of March. The Blokes Day Out is a chance to stop for a moment and put the focus on health and well being of men and boys, a topic that is sometimes not given enough attention in our busy world.
The event, organised by Barwon Health has a health and well being theme, featuring a lot of varied activities supported by a wide array of groups and organisations from across the greater Geelong region.
The event is not only for the guys in this world, it is for the whole family, with there are a rich mix of family based entertainment and activities on offer during the week, especially at the huge family day on Sunday the 24th of March.
The Sunday Blokes Day out Festival will be held at Eastern Beach Reserve, starting at 10:00 AM. Entry is free and the event will offer a fun and entertaining day for for men of all ages, and lets face it the whole family, with plenty of fun for girls of all ages too!
There will be entertainment. The festival is jam packed with community groups and several health services many offering advice, services or just fun activities. Expect plenty of giveaways, the kids will love the usual balloons and show-bags on offer.
The grassy lawns of the reserve will host plenty of fun activities including games and sporting events. There will also be a host of exciting roaming entertainment as well as some wonderful musicians and artists performing throughout the day adding to the festive atmosphere.
In the days leading up to the Sunday festival there are plenty of activities on around Geelong and the region including a footy night at the Leopold Football Club on the Thursday, a workshop at Bunnings Waurn Ponds on the Wednesday and Some health checks and tune ups at Community Care Chemist in Geelong all week.
