The annual Barwon Heads Festival of the Sea is back for 2014 on the weekend of the 14th – 16th of March. The major day is the Sunday when the Barwon Heads foreshore comes alive with a huge market place, music food and fun for all. The highlight of the event is the fun rubber duck race, where hundreds of yellow duckies are dropped into the Barwon River for a race to win their lucky owner $2000.

The cute yellow ducks are on sale leading up to the event and also at the event, the proceeds go into keeping this event free.

The Sunday is a fun family event and there is so much for the young to enjoy including a kids zone north of the bridge. Here there will be pony rides, petting farms, face painting, rides and other fun attractions all tailored to the young.

Throughout the camping grounds there will be some wonderful market stalls, many selling local arts crafts and even produce with a strong green message mixing well with the environmental and sustainability expo that not only has some handy tips for all of us but shows some of the conservation efforts being undertaken in this beautiful part of the Bellarine Peninsula.
