2014 Good Friday Appeal
Like many towns and cities around the country the Geelong region is pulling together to help one of Australia’s most respected charities, the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.
This appeal helps support kids in need and continue to build world leading facilities at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. A hospital that has helped and cared for so many of our young.

The Pier Geelong Good Friday Appeal
Good Friday, 18th April 2014
Cunningham Pier on Geelong’s waterfront will host a huge celebration to aid the appeal. There will be a farmers market, seafood feast, rides for the young including a great jumping castle. Kids will love the face painting and fantastic entertainment including everyone’s favourite panda band the Mik Maks. There will be heaps more fun and without saying to much we would expect a few special guests and surprizes. The day kicks off at 10:00AM and runs through until 4:00PM.
Black Hat Hotel

Black Hat Hotel tucked away in Little Myers in the city is hosting a fun day with live music, auctions a raffle plus a great bike and hot rod show. All proceeds will go to the appeal as well as 20 cents from every drink sold. Over the past few years the pub has raised an incredible $14000 for the appeal. The event starts at 11:00 and continues through until 11:00 PM.
Laser Strike – Easter Hunt and Sausage Sizzle

Have two hours of fun for $30, enjoy a delicious sausage sizzle and Easter Egg hunt, what could be more fun, well knowing that all proceeds are going to the Good Friday Appeal will make it better. The fun kicks off at 1:00 PM at Laser Strike 15 Douro Street in North Geelong.
Inverleigh Family Fun Day

This great family day ran by the Inverleigh Hotel and District kicks off at 11:00 AM and runs until 7:00 PM in Victoria Park. There will be plenty of fun including pony rides, a bungee run and even a mechanical bull. There will be some special guests and plenty of places to purchase some great food.

Queenscliff Mayoral Ball

Queenscliff is getting in on the action to support the Good Friday Appeal too, they have a wonderful Mayoral Ball being held that will include a fantastic meal and will be hosed by MC Matt King and entertainment from local musicians The Promgulators. Chip for Charity

The Point Lonsdale Golf Club are holding a Family Fun day staring at 10:00 AM and going through until 4:00PM. The day will take place on the fairway near the clubhouse and there will be prizes for those who can get the closest to the target. Clubs and balls are available on the day, so come along and have fun.
