Barassi – The Stageshow
In town to coincide the the final weeks of the football season, Barrasi _ The Stage Show is a play written and directed by award winning playright Tee O’Neil. The play traces the life and times of one of Australia’s greatest sporting legends Ron Barassi. There are three performances at GPAC’s Drama Theatre, Monday and Wednesday evening and a matinee on the Wednesday. Living in the 70’s
The Amazing Mill Markets on the Bellarine Highway at Newcomb is celebrating the 70’s with a huge day of fun. There will be a retro gaming area, seventies lava lounge, a retro go-go dance group and a classic vehicle display from the Geelong Revival. DJ Max and Riversnake will be playing some groovy 70’s tunes and there will be plenty of other fun. Come dressed in your best flairs and hair for a chance to win a prize.

Bellarine Community Farmers’ Market
The Bellarine Community Farmers’ Market is on again this Saturday, (and every third Saturday of the month) from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Ocean Grove Park. This market one of the Geelong region’s best with a wonderful variety of fresh, local & regional produce. Be sure to put on your winter woolies, grab your bags and come along for a great morning. With a dedicated Kids Corner marquee, a playground, dogs (on leads) welcome and buskers to add to that chilled mood, there’s something for everyone!

Geelong Rotary Book Fair
The Geelong West Town Hall will host what is Victoria’s largest $1 a book sale. Organised by the Geelong West Rotary Club this book sale aims to raise around $40,000 for Rotary causes both locally and internationally. The book sale started a few years back as a fund raiser for tsunami victims in Sri Lanka and has grown to become what it is today. Livingstone Daisies and Alison Ferrier will be performing at Barwon Heads Bowls Club. Doors, bar and wood fired pizza from 7pm. Music starts at 7:45pm. Entry is $20 at the door.

Grow Orchid Show
Christ Church Hall on the corner of McKillop Street and Moorabool Streets will host the Grow Annual Display of orchids. The show will feature an amazing display of orchids including many rare species and an incredible show of colour. This has a range of stalls selling vegetables, fruit, preserves and many other interesting items. Elvis to the Max
The “King of Rock n Roll” might have left us on the 16th of August 37 years ago, but he will be remembered in all his glory when Elvis to the Max plays the GPAC Playhouse Theatre on the 17th of August. Max Pellicano is regarded as one of the finest Elvis tribute acts in the world, his massive voice, Elvis good looks and incredible costumes take you back to a time when the King was at his peak. This tour is entitled the “orchestral Sessions” and will feature a 15 piece orchestra playing many of Elvis’s classic hits.
