Twilight Fete
The St Thomas Aquinas School and Parish are holding a fantastic Twilight Fete at their school in Plume Street Norlane. This great event will be full of family fun and kicks off at 4:00 PM and runs through until 7:00 PM.

Mandama Fun Fair
Mandama Primary School in Church Road Grovedale are holding a huge fun fair and you are invited. The evening event kicks off at 4:40PM and runs through until 8:30PM. There will be market stalls, raffles, a silent auction, food and plenty of family activities including face painting, rides and so much more.

Gala Day 2014
Gala Day is a tradition in Geelong and this year celebrates its 98th anniversary. Gala Day brings colour and joy to the streets of Geelong as a huge free parade snakes through the city streets in support of the Geelong Hospital Appeal. At the conclusion of the parade the Geelong waterfront comes alive with a free family fun day full of activities and entertainment for the young. The parade features community groups, floats, celebrities and sports people and also Santa and Mrs Claus on their first outing for the festive season. The Parade travels down Malop Street from the Swanston Street and turns into Moorabool Street concluding at Brougham Street. Read More Photo Gallery

Jimmy Barnes and Friends
The Mount Dunned Estate, formerly the Hill is hosting another of their hugely successful Day on the Green festivals. This time it is legendary Australian performer Jimmy Barnes. Jimmy is celebrating his 30th anniversary as a solo artist after leaving Cold Chisel with a new album and tour. He will be performing with a huge line-up of other acts including the fantastic Living End, The Baby Animals, Mahalia Barnes and Troy Cassar Daley. Gates open at 2:30 PM and the show will conclude around 10:30 PM.

Model Engineering Exhibition
Geelong Society of Model & Experimental Engineers Inc. are presenting an exhibition of members and guests work. This exhibition will feature a wide range of working models that will fascinate young and old alike. The exhibition will be held at the beautiful Osborne Park, 51 Swinburne St, North Geelong overlooking Corio Bay.

Shell Questacon Science Circus
The Leisuretime Centre in Anakie Road Norlane is hosting an exciting hands-on science exhibits when the Shell Questacon Science Circus comes to town. The Shell Questacon Science Circus is a great opportunity for parents and children to share, discover and explore science together. You can encourage a fascination and enjoyment of science by exploring hands-on exhibits. Come along and spin like an ice-skater, discover how fast you can throw a ball, freeze your shadow on a wall, compare your reflexes to a Formula 1 driver and see your fingertips under the microscope. Spectacular science shows are presented regularly during opening hours. You may see giant smoke rings, bricks being smashed on someone’s stomach or a Science Circus presenter lighting their hands on fire! Science toys are for sale from their shop.
