Food of the World Festival
Diversitat Wholefoods and the Laneway in Baylie Place, behind the Ryrie Street Market are holding a fantastic Food of the World Festival featuring a great selection of international foods including Afghan, Brazilian, Italian, Indian, Iranian and Sri Lankan. There will be entertainment, handmade arts and crafts and plenty of fun. The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM and entry is free with food prices starting at $5.

Food Trucks
The food trucks return to the Geelong Mall for the last time this year in what has been one of the city’s biggest success stories. Thousands have visited the Mall over lunchtime to enjoy some fantastic street food, including Mexican, Korean, Pizza, Meatballs and BBQ just to name a few of the flavours on offer. This lunch time event has a great atmosphere, plenty of seating and even live music. Don’t pack your lunch Friday head to the Geelong Mall for a treat.

Christmas Fair
The Highton Traders Association are holding a huge Christmas Fair on the Bellvue Avenue Shopping precinct between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM. There will be carols, live music, games and plenty of special offers in many of the stores. A perfect place to pick up something special for Christmas.

Hightide Festival
Torquay’s Hightide Festival takes place on Torquay’s magnificent foreshore. This cultural and arts event celebrates the environment and the diverse community of the region. Highlights of the festival include a billy cart race, Torquay’s Got Talent quest and some wonderful markets. There is entertainment all day and plenty of fun for the whole family.

Denis Walter Carols by the Bay
One of Geelong’s most loved Christmas events is back for 2014. Denis Walter brings a wonderful night of song to Eastern Park with a multitude of special guest performers including everyone’s favorite Bear Humphrey and a special visit from Santa. The night kicks off at 7:30 PM and concludes at 9:30 PM for more information www.deniswalter.com.au

Christmas Fun Fair
The Geelong Showgrounds in East Geelong is hosting a Christmas Fun Fair between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This huge event features entertainment, rides and attractions. There is plenty of fun for young and old, with face painting, roving entertainment and even a vintage carnival area. The event will feature a special visit from santa and some special guests from Disney’s Frozen.

Old Skool Street Cars
The Old Skool Street Cars group are running a great family day in Meredith with a BBQ and amazing car show. There will be kids entertainment and plenty of fun. The day runs between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM in Lawler Street that can be found just off the Midland Highway. If you have a pre-1980 vehicle you can also display it for $10.
