2015 Reconciliation in the Park
Reconciliation in the Park took place in Johnstone Park on Sunday the 31st of May 2015 This day was organised by Geelong’s Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, the Geelong One Fire Reconciliation group, the Gordon Institute and our city’s library and gallery. The day attended by a huge crowd featured plenty of family fun including storytelling, Aboriginal painting, basket weaving, dancing, music, and a free BBQ with damper and bush tucker tasting.
The entertainment line up for the Reconciliation in the Park was sensational with plenty of indigenous acts entertaining the crowd relaxing on the lawns. Highlights included the Deadly Duo, The Louds, Craig Norman, the amazing Deadly Dancers and Norm Stanley with his didgeridoo.
