2015 Rotary Torquay Motor Show
The summer months bring some brilliant auto shows to the Geelong region and on February 10 another great show returns for 2015.
The Torquay Rotary Rotary Motor Show is now in its 8th year and promises to be the biggest and best yet with a magnificent display of vehicles from all eras of motoring. The show is the biggest auto show held on the Surfcoast, Great Ocean Road part of our region.
Held on the grassy Elephant Walk with spectacular ocean views this event is expected to attract over 250 vehicles and a crowd in the vicinity of 6000 people.
Held on Torquay’s spectacular foreshore the Elephant Walk the event is expected to attract a crowd in excess of 6000 people who will seeing around 250 vehicles of all makes and models, including local favorites, exotic sports cars, historic and classic vehicles and the ever popular muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s. The show even attracts a number of motorcycles trucks and a few weird and wonderful vehicles that are rarely seen.
Highlights of the day will include a large display from the HSV Club, some wonderful Combis and a Workman’s Ute Display, plus plenty of classic Falcons, Holdens, Mustangs and more.
This family friendly event overlooking the spectacular ocean, will feature some great entertainment and there will also be plenty of food vendors on site to make a great day of it.
The motorshow is the major fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Torquay. Proceeds from this event have help them raise awareness and support a range of worthy causes including Interplast a not-for-profit organisation giving life changing surgery to people in the Asia Pacific region who can not afford it and Parkinson’s Victoria.
The event begins at 8:30 AM, with judging taking place from 11:00 AM, running until mid afternoon after the 3:00 PM award ceremony.
