2015 Run Geelong
One of Geelong’s biggest community events Run Geelong is back for 2015 on Sunday the 22nd of November. The event is growing from strength to strength and has now been replicated in six centres around Australia.
The Cotton On Run Geelong event will raise funds for the redevelopment of the Maternity Day Assessment Unit at Geelong’s University Hospital. Plus help redesign the dated reception and waiting area.
The event kicks off at 8:30 AM with the start of the main 12KM race that will take in Eastern Park, the Geelong waterfront and key locations around the city centre. A shorter 6 KM race will begin at 9:30 AM followed by a 6KM family walk.
This year the presentations will take place in Eastern Park, just behind the Queen Victoria statue. They begin at 10:15 AM followed by a fantastic family performance by everyone’s favourite drumming panda and the Mik Maks. One of Australia’s hottest performers Jessica Mauboy will then take the stage at 11:30 AM for what should be a wonderful performance featuring a sting of here huge hits.
After some fun and presentations around noon a 1KM kids run will commence at 12:30 PM.
