Future Cities of the Global Age
The Council for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS)are holding an event entitled ‘The Future of Cities in the Global Age: views from Australia and Singapore’ exploring topics such as:
+ Demography and Diversity in a Globalizing City with a unique view from Professor Brenda Yeoh (National University of Singapore);
+ Encountering difference in the multicultural city: Tensions and possibilities with Dr Michele Lobo (Deakin University) and
+ The Fate of Small Cities with Professor Peter Spearritt FASSA (The University of Queensland). The discussion will also be chaired by CHASS Executive Director Emeritus Professor Steven Schwartz AM.

Catenary Lights Launch
Geelong’s latest attraction the catenary lights spanning the intersection of Malop and Moorabool Streets will be turned on for the first time in a huge celebration from 6:30 PM. There will be food trucks, live music and lots of fun. Be the first to witness what will be a spectacular addition to our city.
