NightJar Festival
The NightJar Festival returns to Geelong’s Johnstone Park for another night of fun. The market runs between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM and part market, part international food expo and part independent artists festival.

Great Australian Beer Festival
Back for its third year the Great Australian Beer Festival celebrates the amazing array of craft beers and ciders that are produced in Australia. This festival held at the Geelong Race Course will feature dozens of breweries and in the vicinity of 150 different beers and ciders. The day will also feature home brewing supplies, classes for beer enthusiasts and brewers and some fantastic entertainment including Tigertown and Owl Eyes. Shelford Duck Race
The usually tranquil township of Shelford will be a hive of activity for the 2015 Shelford Duck Race held on the town’s oval. This is a huge day with markets, music, food and plenty of activities with the highlight being a duck race down the river during the afternoon. This is a perfect event for the whole family with so much to enjoy.

Wombat’s Wish Family Fun Day
The 2015 Wombat’s Wish Family Fun day will take place at King Lloyd Reserve in Windsor Road Newtown. Wombat’s Wish assists bereaved children to find ways to live with loss and grief, to build on their resilience, to move forward and take the next steps on their lives. Seabourn Odyssey Cruise Liner
Geelong really enjoyed seeing the cruise line on Corio Bay last weekend, and this weekend the Seabourn Odyssey returns for 2015 bringing around 450 guests to our city. This vessel visited Geelong last year and looked spectacular on our bay. It is 650 feet long and has 8 guest decks and can cruise at around 19 knots. The ship is heading up the east coast of Australia on its way to Denpasar and Bali. After cruising the Pacific and completing a Los Angeles New Zealand cruise the Seabourn Odyssey is expected to return to Geelong on the 10th of February 2016.

HMAS Sydney
The HMAS Sydney navy guided missile frigate will visit Geelong this weekend, arriving on Friday and leaving on Tuesday. The vessel will be open to the public on Cunningham Pier on Sunday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. This is the last time the ship will visit Geelong as it is due to be decommissioned from the Royal Australian Navy’s fleet later this year.
