Lorne Pier to Pub
After a tragic Christmas period battling bush fires the township of Lorne is back with one of the region’s biggest summer events, the GMHBA Lorne Pier to Pub. Over 4000 people are expected to participate in the 1.2 kilometre open water course from the pier to the world famous Lorne Hotel. Some of the world’s biggest names in swimming have competed in this race along side politicians, celebs and normal people. An estimated 20-25,000 people are expected in Lorne to watch the race.
