The Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show returns for 2018 at the Geelong Showgrounds in East Geelong on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of January.
Celebrating the fifth year the event features so much fun and fascination for the whole family where they can come face to face at some of the incredible advances in technology from last century and beyond, with the invention of steam power and early oil driven machinery.
The show features both static displays and working equipment. You can come face to face with some of the most impressive steam engines and generators that helped Geelong become one of the country’s biggest manufacturing centres last century.
Outdoors there will be so much to see and explore including working tractors and other interesting agricultural machinery including plows, hay balers, generators and a wide range of historic equipment used on the land.
In recent years classic trucks have become one of the growing exhibits with vintage trucks being brought to the show from all corners of Australia, some have been restored to better than showroom while others showcase them as the work horses they were with dints, rust and dirt earns from decades of working Australia.
The show also features a collection of classic cars, antique bicycles, woodworking and Meccano enthusiasts who always have some mind blowing creations to show.
The show is regarded as one of the biggest and best of its type in Australia and draws visitors not only from our country but many international guests.
The Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show runs between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Saturday the 13th and Between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Sunday the 14th.
