After a huge success in Melbourne and some of Victoria’s regional centres White Night come to Geelong Saturday the 13th of October. The event is expected to draw thousands to the city centre to see some amazing projections, art installations and interactive performances.
With a huge program starting at 7:00 PM and running through to around 2:00 AM on Sunday morning this huge free family event takes in the city’s waterfront, lanes, city streets and Johnstone Park. There will be additional public transport services put on especially for the night to make it easy to reach the city and get home.

Some of the highlights include incredible projection shows on the Geelong City Hall, Johnstone Park and the new Worksafe Dalgety’s building to name a few locations. Another popular projection is sure to be on Corio Bay where some stunning sound and video-scapes are planned on and around the water.
The city will be alive with music of all genres including a huge stage set up at the Gordon with performances from The Attics, Leah Senior, The Tiny Giants, The Kite Machine and Club Yorke just to name a few of the acts. The Rotunda in Johnstone Park, The Bus Port Carpark and the foreshore skate park will also feature great bands and DJ’s adding atmosphere to the evening.
Many of Geelong’s arts venues are also open including the Geelong Gallery, GPAC and Courthouse Arts all with special programs for the evening as will many of the bars, clubs and restaurants around the city. There will also be plenty of vendors and food trucks offering tasty treats throughout the city.
