Ocean Grove is a pleasant 20 or minutes drive from central Geelong. The Bellarine Highway linking the city with Queenscliff is the easiest way and passes East Geelong, Newcomb, Moolap and Leopold. There are two entrances into Ocean Grove, you can either turn off and travel through the beautiful rolling orchards of Wallington or travel along the Bellarine Highway a little more and turn right at the Grubb Road roundabout beside the Maze and Golf attractions. This path takes you into the township from the Collendena or western end.
Ocean Grove is also accessible across the controversial historic bridge at Barwon Heads. This route back to Geelong passes Marshall, Belmont before crossing the Barwon River close to the city.
The main shopping strip The Terrace is home to plenty of great shopping and some of the town’s best cafes and restaurants. the beautiful Ocean Grove beaches are about three blocks to the south.
A little further out of town just down from the Grubb Road and Shell Road intersection is a huge shopping complex with large supermarkets, fast food and specialty stores.
