Celebrating its 46th year the annual Model Railway Exhibition organised by the Corio Model Railway Club returns this Australia Day weekend in a wonderful event that will delight young and old.
This year the event will be held at the Barwon Civic Centre in Belmont On Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The event will feature some incredible railway dioramas in a range of gauges including HO/OO and N gauge. The detail and workmanship on many the dioramas that will be on display are staggering and, one can’t comprehend the number of hours that have been spent creating the detail and workmanship on show.
The exhibition is also the best place to learn about model trains, not only will many of the exhibitors be more than happy to tell you tales and give you some great tips there will be a wide range of trade stalls where you can pick up your first kit or find that hard to find piece for your more advanced setup. There will also be a good range of second hand modeling equipment, track and train stock available so get there early to pick find the best.
The Barwon Civic Centre is in Reynolds Road, off Colac Road in Belmont.There is plenty of free parking on site.
