Pizza’s With Attitude
Tucked in behind the park in next to the Elephant and Castle Hotel in East Geelong, Pizza’s With Attitude offer some of the region’s most adventurous flavours. Items on their extensive menu include the Cheese Burger Pizza that sees American mustard, minced beef, dill pickles and cheese added to the pizza. There’s the Nacho complete with corn chips and our favourite the Malaysian tasty jam packed full of chicken, onion, cabana, cheese and satay sauce. Recently Pizza With Attitude has expanded to a new location in North Valley Road Highton and in Leopold where they have in-house dining.
Pizza Bar
Pizza Bar is a funky pizza restaurant in Pakington Street West Geelong. Pizza Bar specialise in pizza’s with a bit of a difference. They have a wonderful range of 12” pizzas with luxury toppings. Be sure to try the Potato, thyme, leek and Gorgonzola pizza it is to die for. Other favoirtes include scallops, green peppers, fennel and white prosciutto and their amazing pulled pork, apple chutney, bocconcini and rocket pizza. Pizza bar are open 7 days a week and fully licensed.
Original Wood Oven
The Original Wood Oven in Mercer Street has been a Geelong institution for generations. This classic pizza house has a huge menu of some of the juiciest and most delicious pizzas going around. Be sure to try the Wood Oven Special full of rich mince and Middle Eastern spices. For lovers of the traditional Hawaiian , Pepperoni or Margherita, you will be struggling to find a better one in Geelong. The Wood Oven also serves amazing dips, pasta, burgers and a full range of meals. They are open 7 day a week and open to the late hours over the weekend.
Enzo’s Italian Pizzeria
Enzo’s in Pakington Street West Geelong is one of Geelong’s most popular pizza houses and you only need to try their incredible pizzas once to understand why- they are delicious. Filled with the juiciest and freshest ingredients Enzo’s offer a wide range of both traditional and specialty pizzas including their sensational Bel Giardo topped with roasted capsicum. You will also find a great range of Italian inspired pastas and other dishes plus what would have to be Geelong’s best risotto. Enzo’s fully licensed and open every day.
Silvio’s Newtown Pizza
Found opposite the Cremorne Hotel at the bottom of Pakington Street, Silvio’s Newtown Pizza has been renowned serving some of Geelong’s finest pizzas for decades. Their pizzas have crisp and delicious crusts and lots of topping. Open 7 days a week the restaurant has a small eat in area and an extensive pizza menu of both traditional and gourmet pizzas. A must try is their Trapini Pizza. This delicious offering features tomato, goats cheese, sun dried tomatoes, prosciutto and tasty anchovies.
Town & Country – waterfront
Town and Country Pizza is a local pizza chain that has now grown to nine locations throughout Victoria. There are four locations throughout the Geelong region and our favourite is the Geelong Waterfront venue overlooking Steampacket Gardens under the Edgewater Complex. Town and Country’s waterfront restaurant is fully licenced and has a wonderful range of pasta, risotto and great pizzas. If you enjoy seafood, be sure to try the delicious sweet chilli and tuna pizza. This gourmet delight features tuna, cheese, bacon, sun dried tomatoes, fresh capsicum and a range of other luxurious ingredients.
El Toro Pizza Restaurant
El Toro can be found on the Moorabool Street Hill opposite the St John of God Hospital towards the top of town. A visit to El Toro means great food and great service, you will never be let down. Their pizza are nothing short of sensational and staff are always friendly and attentive. As well as some amazing pizza you can also enjoy a wide range of Italian inspired dishes, steak chicken and some delicious deserts.
Tony’s Belmont
Tony’s Pizza can be found opposite the Belmont Hotel on the High Street Hill. This restaurant has been serving great Mediterranean style food and some of the city’s best pizza since 1978. The fully licenced restaurant is open 6 days a week, being closed Monday at time of writing. The extensive pizza menu has a wide range of tasty treats. Our favorites include the beautiful pumpkin pizza full of parmesan cheese, roasted pumpkins, semi dried tomatoes and spinach and the succulent pesto beef featuring mushrooms, fetta cheese and chutney- so tasty.
Pizzaland Bistro
Pizza Land Bisto is located at 52 Mercer Street on the entrance in the Geelong CBD. This large dine in venue features a wide array of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes. Their dips, Turkish breads and stuffed dolma are delicious but it is the pizza that makes this restaurant so good. The pizza menu is mostly traditional and the pizzas are jam packed with flavour and great ingredients. The Meatlovers is a must for the carnivores among us- ham, bacon, salami and more- it’s so succulent. The Californian is also another great choice, this tasty pizza is topped corn, taco sauce, bacon, hot salami and other great ingredients. Pizza land is open 7 days a week until late.
