Geelong’s wine industry started around Waurn Ponds and today stretches right across the region with the Surfcoast being home to some of our finest wineries and vineyards. The fresh crisp salt air from the Southern Ocean and the rich soils of the hinterland and Otway’s foothills make for some great wine growing. Quiet a few of our wineries have cellar door sales and many have dining facilities and some even lodgings where you can relax and enjoy the best of what this magnificent part of Victoria has to offer.
