The Queenscliff Music Festival is the premier music festival of the Bellarine Peninsula. Held on the last weekend of November each year, the event showcases not only some of Australia’s finest talent but has performances by some of the world’s best. Over the years names like The Cruel Sea, Triffids, Sarah Blasko and The Cat Empire.
The festival began in 1997 and today is regarded one of Australia’s best and has won many awards for its outstanding festival including several national tourism awards and it has even been added to the Victorian Tourism’s Hall of Fame in the significant festival and event category.
With so many great acts, the Queenscliff Music Festival is hugely popular, so be warned that you need to get your hands on tickets soon as they are selling fast and will most certainly sell out. Also get on the Intown Queenscliff accommodation pages and get your lodging sorted as there is a huge demand for accommodation this weekend not only in Queenscliff but the whole Bellarine Peninsula and Geelong region.
Like previous years the streets of Queenscliff turn into a huge party for the festival, there are huge markets, food vendors and plenty of free street performances for young and old. The Pubs, cafés, restaurants and other businesses all get into the Queenscliff Music Festival atmosphere and make the town a great place to visit even if you don’t have a ticket for the shows.
The Peninsula Ferry is a great way to get to Queenscliff from the Mornington Peninsula and the Drysdale to Queenscliff historic railway runs extra trains for the weekend as do the Bellarine bus-lines, so there are plenty of easy options to get to the beautiful Victorian seaside town of Queenscliff and enjoy a wonderful weekend of amazing music.
