Pleasant weather welcomed hundreds of cars and thousands of visitors to the 13th annual Torquay Motorshow once again staged on the beautiful Torquay foreshore by the local Rotary club. As usual the event was well supported by various local car clubs displaying a variety of cars from around the world. One of the rarest on display was a legendary Tucker 48, often referred to as the Tucker Torpedo, only 50 cars were built before the factory went bust. Today good examples of theses rare cars frequently go for over $1 million at auction.
