One of larger and most popular markets on the Bellarine Peninsula is the Point Lonsdale Market held at the local primary school. The market features a fair bit of local produce from locally made jams to spuds straight from the farmers cart. Lovers of art and craft are not forgotten either with plenty home made clothes and artworks up for great prices.
The market takes up the schools oval, part of Bowen Road and part of the schools building. The schools quadrangle is a great meeting point and is often lined with buskers and food stalls.
The Point Lonsdale Market is held at the Point Lonsdale Primary School in Bowen Road, which is just on the left heading into Point Lonsdale after turning off the Bellarine Highway. The Market is held from 9.00 AM to around 2.00 PM on the second Sunday of every month all year round, a special Easter Saturday market is also held each year.
