The Bellarine Peninsula has a vast array of scenery with some amazing sights to see and experience. There is the quaint bayside villages hugging Port Phillip Bay, like Clifton Springs, Portarlington, Indented Head and St Leonards, the tranquil and Victorian splendour of Queenscliff and the vibrant surf beach townships along our rugged coastline like Point Lonsdale, Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.
While inland the heart of the peninsula is not only home to some of the region’s best vineyards, its rolling hills and fertile lands are awash with beautiful orchards growing apples and the juiciest of strawberries, there are grassy farmlands full of cattle, sheep, vegetables and crops, and some great attractions, lodgings, history and heritage all within half an hour’s drive from central Geelong.
