Bathed in glorious sunshine Geelong showed itself of to the world this is spectacular style this weekend in front of estimated crowd of 150,000 plus, and millions more in front of their television around the world to whiteness the 2010 UCI Road World Championship’s men’s road race. The enthralling race started in Melbourne and travelled through our beautiful green countryside to our harbour city. Then finishing the race eleven laps of our nearly 16 km city circuit and 260 kilometres later, and nearly 6 1/2 hours after it started Norwegian Thor Hushovd was crowned world champion.
