Soggy and sloshy conditions didn’t dampen the fantastic atmosphere at the 10th annual National Celtic Festival held at the beautiful seaside resort township of Portarlington over the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.
Some of the highlights of the festival included international guests The Popes, Breabach and the beautiful Lumiere, while there was plenty of Australia talent including the Adelaide Scottish Fiddle Club, Blackbird, Claymore, Christine Morphett and Knot o”The Gate to name just a few.
There was a huge marketplace, with the large indoor markets being extremely popular during the wet weather, where dozens of stalls sold novelties, Celtic clothing, jewelry and other interesting goods.
