Sunday the 24th of March saw the 2013 Deans Marsh Festival take place on the township’s recreation reserve in the heart of the Otways. The festival had a full day of family fun with plenty of events on the main arena including dog races, heritage hay making and the famous tug of war. There was a huge market place that features a wide selection of products including many organic and special items grown or produced in the region. Sustainability was a major theme with home made electric cars, solar displays and organic gardening some only some of the wonderful displays covered. Kids enjoyed the jumping castle, dress up tent and old fashioned back yard games but the highlight for many of the young was the roaming miniature horse act and llamas.
