Once again the Royal Geelong Yacht Club put on a magnificent festival over the Australia Day weekend in Geelong. Tens of thousands flocked to the waterfront for a huge carnival atmosphere with some great music and entertainment. Steampacket Gardens and the entire waterfront stretching to Eastern Beach turned into a marketplace and featured food vendors and a variety of novelty items. The weather was fantastic with spectacular scenes on the water with the biggest heel yachting competition in the Southern Hemisphere. The skies were also the focus with daily visits by the RAAF Roulettes and the Australia Day fireworks skyshow.
