The three day festival starting on the Friday evening treated fans to over 50 bands spread across five stages at the Geelong Showgrounds, culminating Sunday night in what was a spectacular Motor City Music Festival fireworks display.
Friday night kicked off with a huge line-up of rock & roots with fans rocking out to bands such as surprise hit Defryme; Electric Mary; the legendary Painters & Dockers and Joe Camilleri & the Black Sorrows.
Saturday Blues & Tributes day saw some of the best Australian blues acts such as Chris Wilson; Jimi Hocking; Geoff Achison; Lloyd Spiegel and Chubby Rae & the Elevators play alongside Australia’s biggest Tribute bands Meatloaf; Shed Zeppelin; and the crowd favourite, INXISIVE – the INXS Tribute Show.
A change of pace on Sunday saw the biggest country music line-ups ever to hit Geelong. Fans packed the Hall of Agriculture to see James Blundell; Travis Collins; Amber Lawrence; Christie Lamb; Kaylens Rain; Doug Bruce and the Tailgaters; and McAlister Kemp’s second-last performance.
Funday Sunday also featured the best in contemporary Australian music with the Eurogliders; Vika & Linda; and Mick Thomas & the Roving Commission joining Jason Singh on the Southern Cross stage.
