Sunday April 3 2011 saw the second Blokes Day Out. This event celebrates men in a huge day on the beautiful lawns of Johnstone Park in the city. The event was a day where blokes and their families come together in a day of fun and activities. There was a huge array of tents offering tips from men’s health to how to use power tools. There was demonstrations and hand on activities for everyone to bond and have a great time. The event capped off what was a celebration around the region with several other events including a festival at Christ Church on Friday night and many of the Barwon Region’s health services getting in on the fun on the Saturday. This was the second year of the event and it has grown from strength to strength and is sure to be a regular on Geelong’s huge event calendar for years to come.
