The Geelong Waterfront was the perfect place to escape the 40 degree plus day New Years Eve. Thousands celebrated the new year in a family atmosphere on Steampacket Gardens amongst the market and activities. The highlight of the evening were the two spectacular fireworks displays over the bay to welcome in the new year. The waterfront pubs, restaurants and function centres were busting at the seams with people seeing 2010 out and welcoming in 2011.
