The Great Australian Beer Festival has been a staple on the Geelong event calendar and this year for its 8th anniversary the event is getting a brand new makeover. The event is moving to the new location of Johnstone Park right in the heart of Geelong and there’s plenty of fun and great beers planned.
The event moves forward in the calendar a few weeks and will take place on Saturday the 18th of January. More than 20 of the best craft and specialty brewers will be appearing at the event, including some of the Geelong region’s best breweries. For those not too keen on beer there will also be some fantastic wine and cider. Expect to see over 200 varieties of beer and cider to choose from.
Getting to the Johnstone Park couldn’t be easier, with the railway station only a few steps away and special busses running from around the Geelong region and even as far as Bendigo, Colac and Ballarat.
A good selection of food vendors will be on hand including succulent burgers, American style BBQ, and plenty of vegetarian and vegan treats.
Sneaky Sound System, Kim Churchill, Kite Machine are just a few of fantastic entertainment that will be performing at this years event.. The Piano Bar will be putting on some fun entertainment and the ever popular masterclasses will return including chances to learn from some of our best local brewers.
