The parkland of Rippleside hosted a wonderful celebration of Australia Day. Organised by the Lions Club and the city’s Australia Day council the day attracted thousands families who enjoyed a great day of rides, attractions, music and other free entertainment. The town criers and Geelong’s Mayor Keith Fagg officially opened the event that included a parade and activities from some local community groups including the scouts, guides and Geelong West Memorial Band.
