The 2015 Highland Gathering was a huge success with a great day had by all on the lawns of Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds Campus. The event marked the 58th annual, with a heritage dating back to the early 1800’s. The event featured all things Scottish, with dancing, pipe bands, sword fighting and some strong men competing in the heavy games. Dozens of clans lined the arena enjoying the festive fair that included many Scottish specialities including haggis, black pudding, shortbread and the popular Irn Bru soft drink.
