The third annual installment of Geelong’s part in a global arts movement FIGMENT took over Little Malop Street and her lanes and alleys on Saturday the 30th of June.
There were dozens of interesting art installations all designed to bring out the senses and be interpreted in the eye of the beholder. There were activities for the young including art and craft, painting and even bicycle decorating. Hills hoists were transformed into art an art gallery while a car was turned into a giant message board covered in chalk and blackboard ink. Beav’s Bar featured a balloon room and there was even a free opp shop with a range of interesting clothing.
There were some wonderful performers including a DJ set, fortune telling and some very talented performers and musicians.
