The 2014 Kiwanis All Ford Day was held on the 16th of February at Deakin University in Waurn Ponds in what was a spectacular display of all things Ford. The event was the biggest in memory with the entire field covered with Ford vehicles from all era’s of the company from the first ever Model T built in this country to the not yet released released Modeo/Fusion.
Famous Ford motorsport identities including legendary Allan Moffat and John Ross plus many of the current V8 Supercar drivers were present to chat to the huge crowd and happily sign autographs while entertainers including Dazzling Dan the Magic Man thrilled the crowd with plenty of fun.
But the stars of the show were he cars, hundreds more than the thousand expected. It was difficult to find a Ford model that wasn’t represented. The mighty Falcon was the car of choice with hundreds and hundreds of the the nameplate on display, spanning all models of its 50 plus year history from the quaint and simple XK from 1960 right up to the latest high tech FG from today. There were so many that had never seen a Australian car show room including hundreds of Mustangs, some enormous Lincolns and Raptor F Series trucks, and even some European Sierras and Fiestas.
