After a wet start to the morning, the sun finally shone through making for a great event. The 2012 and 5th annual Rotary Torquay Motor Show was wonderful display of vehicles stretching the length of grassy Elephant Walk overlooking the ocean.
Vehicles exhibited ranged from some very early vintage models, a large collection of muscle cars from the 60’s and 70’s right up to some of the latest offerings from FPV and HSV, with all areas of motoring represented in between.
One of the more impressive vehicles on display this year was a VE Holden Commodore which had been converted into a two door couple to make a VE Monaro. It was an amazing piece of engineering and looked stunning in its electric orange and carbon fibre paintwork.
Once again a large crowd turned out to see the event and help raise much needed funds for some of the great work the Rotary Club does in the community both locally and internationally.
