The 30th Anniversary Pako Festa was held on the 25th of February 2012 in very hot conditions, but it didn’t stop a huge crowd enjoying the colour, music, food and fun of what is one of Australia’s biggest multicultural celebrations. The parade kicked off at 11 and it was a magnificent sight with dozens of different community groups made up from local school, clubs and cultural groups paraded down Pakington Street in front of thousands of onlookers. At 12 the food stalls got into full swing and what a selection of amazing foods from virtually all corners of the world, there was German, Greek, Italian, Mexican, Irish, Japanese, and plenty of tastes and flavours many had never seen before including Chilean, Brazilian and even Iranian which was delicious.
