The annual Pako Festa is Geelong’s biggest multicultural celebration and this year once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors for a day of great food, dance, music and plenty of fun. The day kicked of with the huge parade down Pakington Street in a vibrant display of sound and colour thrilling onlookers young and old. After a moving ceremony from the traditional land owners of our region, the Wathurung People and a few words from some VIP’s the day transformed into a huge festival atmosphere with dozens of international food vendors lining Pakington Street, mixed in with several stages hosting a full timetable of dancers, musicians and other great multicultural performers.
