Thousands of families flocked to Geelong’s Malop Street to enjoy what was the 102nd anniversary of the Geelong Gala Day Parade, all in support of our Geelong Hospital.
Held again at twilight the parade became more spectacular as the evening progressed with many of the floats, performers and displays taking advantage of the twilight conditions by adding special lighting effects.
The parade featured marching bands, dancers, lots of mascots, a few local celebrities but the star of the night was Santa who returned to Geelong after his huge night lighting our floating Christmas Tree the night before.
