The usually tranquil seaside town of Barwon Heads came alive on Sunday with a huge event celebrating the sea and the environment. Called the Festival of the Sea the event has a community based and run program with art, food, music and markets. The event started mid week but the main day was on Sunday when thousands showed up for the annual Duck Race where hundreds of yellow duckies fight it out in a swim down the Barwon River to the joy of thousands of onlookers.
